Foodball For Good
The Football For Good Fund

2020 Christmas Appeal

We are delighted to launch the Christmas Appeal phase of the Football for Good Fund (FFGF) and once again, the Club has kicked off the campaign with a wonderful donation of £10,000.

Foodball For Good

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 has been a horrendous year for so many of us.

The Foundation’s response was to launch the FFGF in March, which is edging towards £1m and has helped provide food and essentials to thousands of those who are most in need within our communities.

The Christmas Appeal phase started on Friday, November 6, exactly 133 years since the formation of Celtic Football Club, in St Mary’s Church Hall in East Rose Street, in the Calton.

The crippling effects of the pandemic have added unbearably to the pressures already associated with the festive period, with more and more people experiencing bleak times.

Through the Appeal, we want to help hundreds of local families facing poverty, by giving them the kind of Christmas most of us take for granted.

We also want to support pensioners on our doorstep and help out local charities. We can make a massive difference to the lives of children, the homeless, refugees and those living in refuge or facing other challenges.

The generosity and compassion of the Celtic Family is truly unrivalled and once again, we are looking for your support, to get behind this year’s Christmas Appeal.

We are a Club like no other, and together, we can continue to bring comfort to those who need it most.

Purchase Gerard Burns’ Glittering Prize Print

Support the Football for Good Fund by purchasing Gerard Burns’ Lions Lions commemorative 50th-anniversary print.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions’ historic European Cup triumph and to assist with our Lions’ Legacy campaign, renowned contemporary Scottish artist, Gerard Burns created a stunning, multi-layered painting, entitled ‘Glittering Prize’.

The image depicts the famous scene as the team walked out on to the park in Lisbon’s Estádio Nacional on May 25, 1967.

The original painting graces the Celtic Park Boardroom and supporters throughout the world now have the opportunity to cherish their own copy of Gerard’s incredible piece, with this 72cm x 48cm poster print edition.

Net proceeds will be devoted to Celtic FC Foundation’s Football for Good Fund.

The prints are exclusively available to purchase via our official charity eBay account and there are two options:

E

Glittering Prize Poster Print

£19.67 (plus postage and packaging) via eBay here

E

Glittering Prize Poster Print with Additional Donation

£25.00 (plus postage and packaging) via eBay here

In purchasing this option, you are generously making an additional £5.33 donation, to provide approximately four meals for a vulnerable family, pensioner, refugee or someone who is homeless.
